The Engineering Team Lead is an engineering management position responsible for providing technical engineering oversight and design team management for engineering projects for which they are assigned. This technical management role is responsible for financial, resource allocation, logistic and technical leadership of projects and has the capability to mentor and train staff under their supervision.
Possess the ability to understand project requirements and develop a design fee for the work requested.
Prepare and oversee work plans for engineering and production resources.
Oversee Engineers, Designers and Modeling staff assigned to team or project work.

The Civil Engineer III is responsible for providing Civil Engineering technical leadership and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) during the estimating, design and construction phases of utility-scale solar, substation, and BESS projects throughout the United States.
Provide early-stage Preconstruction civil design for estimating purposes through the preparation of buildable area plans, preliminary erosion control, grading plans and road design.
Prepare site constraints maps based on project entitlement and technical documents such as land surveys, hydrology/hydraulics reports, environmental constraints, geotechnical limitations, and client requests.
Prepare Schedule of Values to relay civil material types, quantities, and general earthwork scope to estimators for inclusion in cost proposals.
Participate in efforts with other engineers and construction stakeholders to optimize project layout for cost efficiency and simplicity of construction.
Delegate tasks, as needed and appropriate, to junior engineers based on project requirements and with direction from Management. Oversee delegated responsibilities as the engineer in responsible charge.
Perform, conduct, or provide all civil engineering deliverables necessary for the project (when not delegated). This may include calculations, details, designs, memos, reports, site observations summaries, entitlement research, design specifications, drainage reports and SWPPP documentation among others.
Review project technical documents including geotechnical reports, environmental reports, ALTA and topo surveys, hydrology reports, etc. and document trouble areas for review by project stakeholders.
Lead effort for the preparation of civil construction drawings through 30%, 60%, 90%, IFR, IFC and as-built stages. Respond to comments and RFI's from Owners, 3rd party engineers and AHJ's.
Assume role of CEOR for projects (where licensure allows).
Perform construction administration activities such as review of project submittals and response to RFI's.
Lead civil team responses in weekly project calls providing updates on relevant deliverable milestones.
Participate in weekly internal calls providing project status updates to senior engineers and Rosendin management.
Assist senior engineers and team leads with project scope, budget, schedule, and resources to ensure successful project delivery within established timelines and quality standards.
Work closely with the project Operations team to get ahead of, or quickly solve, issues during construction.
Conduct site visits to perform observations of ongoing construction of PV, Substation and BESS systems for general conformance with construction documents.
Act as the SME in all civil engineering aspects for assigned projects.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers to build confidence and develop civil engineering skill sets. This will include monitoring of training plans and providing regular feedback.
Contribute to department continuous improvement efforts to drive efficiency in design, process improvement and cost reduction.
Assist in maintaining and/or developing civil department templates, standards and processes.

Proficient in site engineering/land developing engineering and design such as, site planning, grading, drainage, erosion and sediment control, stormwater quantity and quality analysis and design.
Proficient in hydrology and hydraulics and calculations for stormwater using computer software, rational method, Manning's Equation, and culvert nomographs.
Thorough understanding of grading design for drainage, earthwork, and system grading criteria.
Grading design for large solar and BESS projects using Civil 3D required.
Thorough understanding of local permitting requirements and expected timelines (stormwater, land development, etc.) in areas with high concentrations of solar development.
Proficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Proficient using Autodesk Civil 3D.
Proficient using QGIS or ArcGIS Pro
Experience with industry typical stormwater software such as HydroCAD or similar software.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
Effective oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or other similar discipline.
Professional Civil Engineering license required.
Minimum 4+ years of experience.

As an Audio Video Commissioning Manager, you will lead and manage a team of commissioning engineers and technicians responsible for delivering world-class AV systems across Rosendin projects. You'll oversee project assignments, ensure quality standards are met, and support the professional development of your team members.
This role is ideal for a commissioning professional ready to transition into leadership, combining technical expertise with people management and operational oversight. You will partner closely with project managers, field leadership, and clients to ensure successful system turnover and client satisfaction.
Directly supervise a team of AV commissioning engineers and technicians (typically 4-10 team members)
Assign staff to projects, monitor workload balance, and ensure delivery milestones are achieved
Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical support to commissioning team members
Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and operations leaders to align commissioning schedules with project requirements
Oversee QA/QC practices, ensuring all systems meet Rosendin and industry standards before client turnover
Serve as an escalation point for technical and personnel issues on commissioning projects
Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new AV commissioning staff
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback in alignment with Rosendin's leadership values
Contribute to development of process improvements, best practices, and standard work for AV commissioning
Participate in client-facing meetings, representing Rosendin commissioning as a trusted partner
Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and contractual obligations
10+ years of experience in AV commissioning, installation, or systems engineering
Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
Strong understanding of AVIXA standards and commissioning best practices
Proficient with advanced DSP configuration, control system programming verification, and advanced signal flow debugging
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
AVIXA CTS-I required; manufacturer certifications (Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Shure, etc.) a plus

As an Audio Video Commissioning Manager, you will lead and manage a team of commissioning engineers and technicians responsible for delivering world-class AV systems across Rosendin projects. You'll oversee project assignments, ensure quality standards are met, and support the professional development of your team members.
This role is ideal for a commissioning professional ready to transition into leadership, combining technical expertise with people management and operational oversight. You will partner closely with project managers, field leadership, and clients to ensure successful system turnover and client satisfaction.
Directly supervise a team of AV commissioning engineers and technicians (typically 4-10 team members)
Assign staff to projects, monitor workload balance, and ensure delivery milestones are achieved
Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical support to commissioning team members
Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and operations leaders to align commissioning schedules with project requirements
Oversee QA/QC practices, ensuring all systems meet Rosendin and industry standards before client turnover
Serve as an escalation point for technical and personnel issues on commissioning projects
Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new AV commissioning staff
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback in alignment with Rosendin's leadership values
Contribute to development of process improvements, best practices, and standard work for AV commissioning

As a Senior High Voltage Estimator at Rosendin, you will be a strategic leader in our Renewables Pre-Construction team. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the estimation process for complex and high-value energy projects that span the renewable energy and mission critical industries, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability. These projects include substations, transmission lines, and medium voltage distribution networks.
Prepare estimate from quantity take-off, vendor and subcontractor RFP issuance, bid leveling, and complete estimate assembly.

As a Senior High Voltage Estimator at Rosendin, you will be a strategic leader in our Renewables Pre-Construction team. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the estimation process for complex and high-value energy projects that span the renewable energy and mission critical industries, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability. These projects include substations, transmission lines, and medium voltage distribution networks.
Prepare estimate from quantity take-off, vendor and subcontractor RFP issuance, bid leveling, and complete estimate assembly.
Identify parts of project that may be key to making a competitive estimate.
Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.

As a Senior Project Manager in our EPC division, you will be responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome for several small to medium BESS, substation, wind, DG projects or one very large utility scale solar project. You will lead and manage a team of project managers, and assistant project managers to deliver exceptional results for our clients. The position proactively manages and maintains relationships with current customers.
Comprehensive knowledge and management of all scopes required for renewable EPC construction: civil, fence, environmental, SWPPP, SPCC, mechanical, structural, substation, medium voltage collections, DC collections, BESS, SCADA, etc.
Engaging and maintaining positive relationships with the local, state, and federal AHJ's to obtain permits and ensure compliance with all codes and permit requirements
Developing relations with landowners, local community leaders, emergency services, and businesses to ensure positive impact on the community throughout the construction process.
Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with clients to understand their goals, objectives, and project requirements
Manage relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of EPC projects within defined scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
Management of project constraints, including but not limited to LOD, ESA Phase 1, Buildable area, Hydrology Studies. Etc.
Compile and distribute all predesign required reports and studies (PVSyst, geotech, hydro, surveys, pile push/pull testing, thermo-resistivity studies, etc)
Shepard the entire design process from inception to IFC's, including identifying VE options for all scopes, by coordinating with design partners and owner's specs and comments
Manage substation design, procurement and build based on SGIA requirements
Identification of Private and Public Utility locations in and around the project location. File or negotiate the appropriate crossing agreements.
Resource Management of Water, Sewer, Electrical Service, Security, Medical services (GEMS) and Internet for the project office compound.
Develop site compound, laydown yard and logistics plan for the project site, with the logistics superintendent
Comprehension of the geotechnical report and its impact on civil and structural designs
Management of civil design and civil construction processes, and sequencing of civil activities such as, Grading, site balancing, trenching, pads, roadways, stormwater management
Management of structural design, materials and construction sequencing (wind loads, snow loads, pile types, tracker systems, module types, concrete pads, design loads, etc)
Management of electrical design, materials, and construction sequencing. HV, MV, LV, AC/DC power, voltage drops
Management of SCADA, metering, utility requirements, ROC, and control buildings, NERC/FERC requirements and coordination
Management of security fence materials and construction in compliance with local, state, and federal AHJ's (NERC/FERC)
Management of O&M buildings design and construction. Plumbing/HVAC/foundation and Structure, etc. Management of closeout, testing, and commissioning processes; including CMT, capacity and availability tests, IR scan, hot and cold commissioning of inverters, harmonics studies, VLF, etc

The Estimator II is a mid-level professional responsible for preparing and completing bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The Estimator II solves a range of straightforward problems and assembles construction costs by collecting and studying information, evaluating bid specifications and drawings, to ensure they understand what is required to bid on and win the project successfully, and can present the project cost to Senior leadership. With moderate guidance and direction, the Estimator II provides overall support for small- to medium-sized projects, assisted by a senior-level estimator.
Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and requirements.
Prepare estimates by calculating the complete takeoff of the scope of work and entering them into the computer estimating system; review the estimate printout for accuracy and completeness.
Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes. Review quotes for completeness according to plans and specifications.
Itemize and quantify all incidentals necessary in preparing the bid packages, including sub-contract work, equipment rental, tools, and supplies.
Provide guidance to personnel preparing the completion matrix discipline for assigned bids.
In conjunction with Senior Estimators, develop labor productivity and (installation unit costs where applicable) based on projected site conditions and historical data.
Compile and execute the scope of work, address technical requirements and pricing, then present them to the Lead Estimator, Estimating Manager, and/or Chief Estimator for the estimated bid package.
After the successful bid, at project turnover, meet with the project management team along with the senior-level estimator to fully explain the estimate, scope of work, quotes, and offer aspects for the successful transition of the project.
Responsible for the timely completion of all client-required documents.
Prepare scope letter inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimates.
Maintain files of working documents for backup to estimating assumptions and methodologies.

The Estimator II is a mid-level professional responsible for preparing and completing bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The Estimator II solves a range of straightforward problems and assembles construction costs by collecting and studying information, evaluating bid specifications and drawings, to ensure they understand what is required to bid on and win the project successfully, and can present the project cost to Senior leadership. With moderate guidance and direction, the Estimator II provides overall support for small- to medium-sized projects, assisted by a senior-level estimator.
Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and requirements.
Prepare estimates by calculating the complete takeoff of the scope of work and entering them into the computer estimating system; review the estimate printout for accuracy and completeness.
Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes. Review quotes for completeness according to plans and specifications.
Itemize and quantify all incidentals necessary in preparing the bid packages, including sub-contract work, equipment rental, tools, and supplies.
Provide guidance to personnel preparing the completion matrix discipline for assigned bids.
In conjunction with Senior Estimators, develop labor productivity and (installation unit costs where applicable) based on projected site conditions and historical data.
Compile and execute the scope of work, address technical requirements and pricing, then present them to the Lead Estimator, Estimating Manager, and/or Chief Estimator for the estimated bid package.
After the successful bid, at project turnover, meet with the project management team along with the senior-level estimator to fully explain the estimate, scope of work, quotes, and offer aspects for the successful transition of the project.
Responsible for the timely completion of all client-required documents.
Prepare scope letter inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimates.
Maintain files of working documents for backup to estimating assumptions and methodologies.
The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position role within the business unit.
Advanced knowledge of the assigned discipline, construction technology, estimating techniques, and cost control
Interpret computerized cost data and electrical systems
Perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating
Read and interpret engineering design drawings, specifications, and front-end documents
Identify and meet customers' needs expectations and requirements
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of specific variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
Oral and written communication skills as required for the position
Self-motivated and can work independently and as part of a team
Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience estimating commercial construction projects, preferably in electrical construction
Proficient in Accubid estimating
Proficient in CAD or 3D software preferred
Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience

$80,300.00-$105,400.00 AnnualThe pay range for this role is what we expect to pay for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Candidate's pay can vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and education.
