YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Project Controls Engineer serves as a core technical member of Rosendin's internal Project Controls Group (PCG). This role supports the Project Controls Lead and Project Controls Managers (PCMs) to ensure project scope, structure, and controls readiness meet enterprise standards. With a focus on auditing project setup, supporting scope definition, and enabling consistency in execution preparation, this role strengthens transparency and reduces startup risk on critical projects. This role is designed for fully competent professionals requiring moderate supervision and some autonomy. The focus is on technical contributions, coordination, and continuous improvement within the Project Controls Group.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Assist in the development and validation of WBS and task code structures aligned with company standards.

  • Support Project Controls Lead and Project Control Managers in early-phase project activities, including scope gathering and readiness planning.

  • Audit project setup and baseline documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with PCG protocols.

  • Participate in project startup support when internal resources are required to supplement teams during onboarding.

  • Maintain clear documentation of PCG input, audit findings, and field team support activities.

  • Provide feedback to improve templates, workflows, and repeatable planning tools across the PCG.

  • Collaborate with Project Control Data Specialists to cross-verify inputs and highlight discrepancies in early reporting cycles.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related technical field.

  • 2-5 years of experience in project engineering or project controls roles within construction.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Strong understanding of WBS design, planning principles, and project controls systems.

  • Capable of reviewing large amounts of project information and identifying areas of inconsistency or misalignment.

  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset; works well in support of both field operations and internal PCG leadership.

  • Clear communication and documentation skills.

  • Proficient in Excel, Smartsheet, and project coordination platforms.

TRAVEL:

  • 0 - 25%

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
