YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

As a Senior Audio Video Engineer with Rosendin's Technologies Group, you will serve as the technical lead for the design and implementation of complex low voltage AV systems across construction projects. You'll provide engineering guidance from preconstruction through closeout; ensuring compliance with project requirements, code standards, and performance specifications. This is a field-integrated role that bridges design intent and construction execution, supporting both internal project teams and external partners.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Lead the design and technical direction for small-to-medium AV system projects or act as a senior contributor on large-scale efforts

Oversee 2-5 designers, drafters, and CAD staff assigned to your projects

Prepare single-line diagrams, signal flow drawings, riser diagrams, and system block diagrams

Review submittals, generate equipment specifications, and develop comprehensive sequences of operation

Coordinate AV scope with architectural, electrical, mechanical, and low voltage trades

Conduct technical reviews of design deliverables to ensure code compliance, technical accuracy, and constructability

Participate in internal budgeting efforts to align design scope with project financial targets

Support field operations with design clarifications, installation coordination, and system commissioning guidance

Attend client and design coordination meetings, serving as a Rosendin representative for AV technical topics

Interface with procurement, project management, and field operations to support material buyout and installation timelines

Participate in value engineering efforts to optimize system performance and cost-effectiveness

Contribute to team training, mentorship, and knowledge sharing

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

10+ years of experience designing and delivering commercial AV systems in a construction environment

Demonstrated design experience with control systems (Crestron, Extron, QSC), DSP/audio tuning, video distribution, digital signage, and structured cabling

AVIXA CTS-D required; CTS-I and manufacturer certifications (Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp) strongly preferred

Familiarity with system programming concepts (Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC) to ensure constructable designs.

Working knowledge of national and state building codes and AV industry standards

Strong project coordination and communication skills

Ability to thrive in fast-paced, field-integrated roles requiring flexibility and technical precision

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
