Power System Protection Engineer III is a senior-level engineering position responsible for performing protection studies and developing relay settings to support the implementation, commissioning, and testing of protection systems for electrical power networks. This role focuses on designing and applying protection strategies for medium and high-voltage systems serving mission critical, commercial, and industrial facilities. The position requires advanced technical expertise, the ability to work independently on complex protection challenges, and the capability to mentor and train other engineering staff.
Design, specification, setting calculation, and coordination of protective relaying and relay control schemes.
Develop protection schemes and relay settings for electrical equipment, including transformers, generators, transmission lines, feeders, and buses, in accordance with client requirements and system specifications.

Develop protection schemes and relay settings for electrical equipment, including transformers, generators, transmission lines, feeders, and buses, in accordance with client requirements and system specifications.
Develop and configure protection relay settings, including overcurrent, differential, distance and backup protection relays.
Perform coordination studies to ensure proper relay operation and minimize system downtime during fault conditions.
Use power system modeling tools (e.g. ETAP, SKM, CAPE, ASPEN) to simulate and analyze protection systems, fault scenarios, and equipment ratings.
Conduct studies such as fault analysis, short circuit, AC and DC arc flash and harmonics studies.
Support field testing, commissioning, and validation of protection relays and control systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with project requirements.
Diagnose and troubleshoot relay protection issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions for mis-operations or unexpected trips.
Collaborate with other engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure the successful implementation of protection systems.
Prepare technical documentation, including relay settings, test reports, system protection studies, and coordination diagrams.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NEC, NFPA 70E, NERC).
Act as a proactive technical leader, guiding project teams, solving complex protection challenges, and supporting project execution across all phases from design through commissioning.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with a power systems focus.
6+ years relevant application experience in protection and relay settings for electric power systems supporting mission critical infrastructure, commercial and industrial facilities and substations.
A U.S.-based Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
High proficiency with power system modeling tools such as ETAP, SKM, ASPEN, and CAPE.
Applied knowledge and experience of Power system Protection on: Overcurrent / Over-Undervoltage, Transformer Differential, High and Low Impedance Busbar Differential, Generator Protection, Motor Protection, and Medium/High Voltage Line Differential and Distance Protection.

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our project execution team for large-scale utility solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and substation projects. This role is critical in ensuring design integrity, construction quality, and adherence to engineering standards from initial execution through project closeout. Pre-construction design and development of the complete power system protection and control by deploying overcurrent protection relays, transformer and bus differential protection relays, and line differential protection relays, or PLC and RTAC for automatic transfer schemes.
Design and Develop site wide electrical distribution Sequence of Operation that ensures system reliability and resiliency.
Coordinate with utility, turbine power plant, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) or a combination of all three!
Spec, evaluate, and review vendor or manufacturer's submittal and equipment to ensure they conform to the system design requirement.
Conduct vendor coordination meeting to ensure all systems and all equipment are working well with each other.
Design and develop mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical interlock systems.
Work with other internal teams to specify proper relaying with proper instrument transformers to ensure secure and dependable operation.
Design and develop system wide automation systems using PLC or RTAC style industrial
controllers, including but not limited to: System overload prevention, multipurpose busway
interlocks, load management systems, generator plant load curtailment systems, Gen plant
start and load controls including selective load pickup and load shed schemes, etc.
Design and develop relay protection and automation logics for SEL, ABB, Siemens or GE relays
Design and develop system protection and control architecture such as IEC61850, mirrored bit, protection interface, Modbus, DNP etc.
Provide power system failure analysis, Sequence of Event analysis and/or develop a metering / triggering system to ensure proper event capture for conducting such analysis.
Self-starting, avid learners on new technologies and products.
Strong understanding on power distribution systems, relaying, automation systems
In-depth working knowledge of SEL-751, SEL-787, SEL-487E, SEL-2411, SEL-3350 RTAC, Siemens 7SX82/85, Siemens 7UT, ABB REF615 etc.
In-depth product knowledge on electrical power systems components such as emergency generators, transformers, switchgears, switchboards, automatic transfer switches, protective relays, UPS systems, DRUPS systems, motor, Static Transfer Switches, PDUs, battery storage systems (BESS), inverters, PV systems, wind turbines, substation equipment's etc.

The Civil/Mechanical On-Site Superintendent is responsible for leading and managing all civil/mechanical construction activities in the field for substation, battery energy storage system (BESS), or large-scale solar projects. This includes oversight of civil subcontractors or self-perform crews performing grading, excavation, roadways, foundations, underground utilities, and related site work. The Civil/Mechanical Superintendent ensures that work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Oversee all on-site civil/mechanical construction activities including earthwork, grading, trenching, foundations, roadways, fencing, drainage, and utilities.
Manage and coordinate civil/mechanical subcontractors and/or self-perform crews to meet project schedule and budget requirements.
Participate in pre-construction planning, including review of civil/mechanical design documents, constructability, and sequencing.
Maintain daily coordination with the Project Manager, General and/or Area Superintendent(s), and other discipline leads (electrical, structural, mechanical).
Monitor project progress and maintain accurate daily logs, production tracking, and documentation of site activities.
Ensure full compliance with the company's Safety Program, OSHA requirements, and all environmental and stormwater controls (SWPPP).
Coordinate with QA/QC personnel to ensure materials testing, compaction testing, and concrete placement meet project specifications.
Support scheduling and coordination of material deliveries and equipment mobilization to ensure continuous workflow.
Identify and resolve field conflicts, design discrepancies, or unforeseen conditions through effective problem solving and communication.
Lead field meetings with subcontractors, self-perform crews, and client representatives as required.
Assist in developing and training field leadership and craft personnel to support company standards of quality and performance.
Provide input for project closeout including punch list completion, as-built documentation, and final civil/mechanical inspections.
