The Procurement Category Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of procurement strategies for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with Rosendin objectives for cost, quality, and schedule. The position focuses on executing "best cost" tactics and improving efficiencies throughout the procurement lifecycle - from estimation to contract close-out- to drive measurable savings across the company.
WHAT YOU\'LL DO:
3-5 years of experience in category management, procurement, supply chain management, or a related field. Experience within the construction or electrical industry is a major plus.
Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze spend data, interpret market trends, and use Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) to drive decision-making.
Proven ability to support or lead tactical negotiations with suppliers to achieve favorable pricing and terms.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal project teams and external vendors.
Detail Orientation: High level of accuracy in managing contracts and procurement documentation from estimate through close-out. Expertise in procurement, estimating, business, strong collaborative skills and leadership potential.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or industry-specific software).
Certification from ISM (CPSM) or APICS (CSCP) is an advantage but not required.
