As an Estimator III at Rosendin, you will be a crucial member of our Renewables Pre-Construction team. You will be responsible for leading the estimation process for renewable energy projects, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability.
Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other technical documents to understand project requirements and scope.
Identify project risks and collaborate with the overall project team to determine mitigation strategies.
Identify missing information in owner documents and prepare RFIs.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary information for cost estimation.
Identify areas of potential areas of value engineering for review with Senior Estimators, Engineering, and Project Managers.
Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to develop detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Research and evaluate vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for project components.
Coordinate with other estimating discipline leads to compile a complete estimate package.
Participate in bid review meetings and assist in the preparation of bid proposals.
Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and performance standards.
Assist the negotiations team by providing required information to support the negotiation process.
Prior to the issuing of the formal bid package, provide the Senior Estimator with a detailed review of scope, technical requirements, and pricing for the estimated bid package for their approval.
Create accurate proposal letters based upon the estimate for review and editing by the greater project team.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to ensure competitiveness in bids.
Provide support to senior estimators and contribute to departmental initiatives to improve estimating processes and procedures.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior estimators, supporting their professional development and growth within the company.
Good knowledge of assigned discipline, construction technology, and estimating techniques.
Interpret computerized cost data and systems.
Perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating.
Read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering design drawings.
Identify and meet customers' needs, expectations, and requirements.
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of specific variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

The Engineer III is a senior engineering position responsible for providing technical engineering information and assistance to ensure compliance with the project requirements and all engineering standards, applicable codes, and specifications.
