YOUR NEXT OPPPORTUNITY:

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for posting customer payments, electronically filing documents and sorting daily mail.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • To accurately and efficiently post all incoming payments (wires, checks and credit cards) to the appropriate customer accounts or invoices

  • Inform AR Collectors payments issues like double payments, tax or other discrepancies

  • Save remittances and scanning checks

  • Research and provide preliminary information requests in a timely manner which received through email or by phone

  • Index preliminary notices into RDMS to the appropriate project

  • Misc cash receipts

  • Invoices (REI, MPSS, RMJV & RCCJV)

  • Create FedEx label

  • Assist AR/Billing Team as needed

  • Manage customer remittance emails

  • Record and process office checks.

  • Accurately and efficiently post all incoming customer payments daily

  • Research and provide preliminary notice information requests

  • Electronically file documents timely

  • Connect with subcontractors and vendors to help resolve any document related issues

  • The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position's role within the business unit.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Associate degree in Finance, or related discipline preferred

  • Minimum 1 year of accounting clerk experience, preferably in a construction environment

  • Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Filing, and 10-key skills required

  • Attention to detail is necessary; strong analytical skills preferred

  • Apply and adapt quickly to new invoicing procedures

  • Work closely with operations and other departments in finance as required

  • Build and maintain solid work relationships with all levels of staff and management

  • Understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures

  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred

  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary

  • Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude

  • Oral and written communication skills as required for the position

  • Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player

  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment - sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.

  • Noise level is typically low to medium; it can be loud on a job site.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Pay Range

$27.30-$36.00 Hourly
