YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The ideal candidate for the Benefits Analyst role requires a strong familiarity with benefits plans, ideally with experience in working with Third Party Administrators (TPAs) in the administration of benefit plan designs (health & welfare, 401K plans, etc.) is highly desirable. The candidate should be comfortable with reconciling/auditing benefits data across multiple systems to identify inconsistencies and working with HR, Payroll and IT to make corrections and resolve issues. The role requires significant patience, persistence, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have an eye for process improvement, standardization, and audit procedures. This position will work collaboratively within the People Department and partner regularly with external vendors. Communicating complex information clearly is another essential skill, whether explaining benefits packages to employees or working with vendors.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Research, analyze, evaluate, and administer benefit plans and programs to meet the organization's strategic goals.

  • Monitor, interpret, and propose revisions to benefit plans and procedures to ensure compliance, based on federal, state, and local legislative requirements.

  • First point of contact for our employees for benefits questions.

  • Audit, reconcile and correct benefits data records across multiple systems (internal and external)

  • Participate in management decisions involving vendor and/or plan design and/or benefit systems.

  • Evaluate existing benefits programs and propose changes and/or cost-saving modifications.

  • Create communication materials including presentations and information packages to educate our employees on benefit offerings and how to fully utilize our benefit offerings.

  • Collaborate with legal counsel specializing in benefits to ensure compliance.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism, discretion, and good judgment

  • Familiarity with HIPAA and ERISA regulations

  • Understand the legal complexities of benefits administration with an appetite for learning

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specifically advanced skills in Excel and/or similar spreadsheet software tools

  • Excellent verbal, oral, and written communication skills

  • Experience working with benefits providers in healthcare, life insurance, 401k management, dental and vision.

  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing appropriately to meet deadlines and support the business

  • Able to work quickly, accurately, and independently

  • Ability to translate and analyze data into reports

  • Strong organizational skills

  • CBP (Certified Benefits Professional) Certification is preferred.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in benefits administration

  • Strong analytical and project management skills

  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures specific to benefits administration.

  • Experience in a human resources generalist role (in addition to the benefits administration experience) will be a plus.

TRAVEL:

  • Up to 10%

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

Pay Range

$76,300.00-$100,100.00 Annual

The pay range for this role is what we expect to pay for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Candidate's pay can vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and education.
