The Director, Financial Investments is a key corporate leader responsible for shaping and managing the company's investment strategy within a growing electrical contracting organization. This role oversees the selection, allocation, and performance of a diversified investment portfolio-balancing growth opportunities with disciplined risk management and compliance. The director ensures our financial investments support long‑term stability and strategic expansion across the business.
Investment Strategy & Asset Allocation: Develop and execute the Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA) strategy. You decide the "mix"-e.g., when to rotate out of volatile tech stocks and into stable government bonds.
Manager Selection & Due Diligence: Identify and vet external fund managers. You conduct deep-dive audits on their track records, investment philosophies, and operational risks.
Performance Attribution: Analyze why the portfolio performed the way it did. You use Sharpe ratios, Alpha/Beta metrics, and Monte Carlo simulations to report on risk-adjusted returns.
Macroeconomic Research: Interpret global economic shifts (inflation, interest rate hikes, geopolitical events) and pivot the portfolio to protect capital or seize emerging opportunities.
Fiduciary & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure all investment activities comply with SEC, ERISA, or local financial conduct authorities. Lead the Investment Committee meetings to provide transparency to stakeholders.

Designations: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is almost always a requirement for this level. A CPA or CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) is a strong plus.
Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in Bloomberg Terminal, Morningstar Direct, or FactSet for real-time market data and analytics.
Quantitative Skills: Ability to build complex valuation models and stress-test portfolios against "Black Swan" economic scenarios
12+ years in institutional investing, buy-side research, or portfolio management.
Bachelor's degree in real estate, Finance, Architecture, or Business. (MCR, SLCR, or CCIM designations are highly preferred).

Pay Range
