SUMMARY
The BIM Coordinator III is responsible for effectively coordinating electrical systems on multiple projects, providing direction for and supervising multiple team members. This is a member of the coordination team that will work with field supervisors and project managers on field integration with BIM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Lead Modeler in developing required model intelligence either for the revised standards or for a specific project's needs.
Attend BIM coordination meetings.
Train team members how to use Navisworks Freedom, Navisworks Simulate, Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Design Review and BIM 360 Glue.
Review project BIM requirements; review model exports for constructability.
Detail major coordination changes utilizing available tools.
Develop job specific workflows to efficiently manage time and production.
Create batch files in Navisworks to combine/export models during non-business hours.
Review any change orders, DRB's etc. for schedule or cost impact.
Document and report any changes that may have cost or schedule impact to Project Manager.
Work with field on installation drawing schedule creation.
Review all installation drawings prior to issuance to field.
Create/review curriculums for classes on the proper use of coordination software.
Conduct employee assessments.
Documents and archives work pursuant with the REI standard.
Input of marked-up drawings into Revit.
Make minor adjustments in Revit in accordance with REI Standards.
Make minor coordination changes in Revit.
Make minor adjustments to geometry in Revit.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

The Electrical Engineer III is a senior engineering position responsible for providing technical engineering information and assistance to ensure compliance with the project requirements and all engineering standards, applicable codes, and specifications. We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our project execution team for large-scale utility solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and substation projects. This role is critical in ensuring design integrity, constructability, and performance of all foundation systems. The Structural Engineer will work closely with design teams, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure successful delivery of all structural and foundation scope elements from design through project closeout.
Review and interpret geotechnical reports, foundation design criteria, and structural calculations to validate design assumptions and constructability.
Perform design review and oversight for pier, pile, spread footing, and equipment pad foundations.
Support foundation layout verification and tolerance checks during construction.
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams to ensure proper interface between foundations and racking, inverter skids, transformers, and structural supports.
Provide technical feedback to foundation design engineers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Review and approve foundation submittals, material testing reports, and concrete mix designs.
Conduct site visits to observe installation of drilled piers, driven piles, and concrete foundations for compliance with design intent.
Assist with as-built verification and documentation for foundation systems.
Lead root cause investigations of foundation nonconformances or performance issues.
Collaborate with project and quality teams to develop inspection and testing plans for foundations.
Maintain detailed engineering documentation and technical reports for leadership and client review.
Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a structural docus), or related discipline.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in foundation or structural engineering for utility-scale solar, BESS, substation, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of structural analysis, geotechnical interaction, and foundation design principles.
Proficiency in interpreting structural drawings, rebar details, and foundation schedules.
Familiarity with ACI, AISC, ASCE, and ASTM standards.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
Understanding of grading design to evaluate top of post or top of foundation elevations.
Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (e.g., RISA, STAAD, or equivalent).
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D for review of foundation layouts and grading interfaces.
Strong working knowledge of geotechnical data interpretation and soil-structure interaction principles.
Proficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced EPC environment.
Detail-oriented, resourceful, and proactive.
Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with all project stakeholders.
General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
Noise level is usually low to medium.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Prepare site constraints maps based on project entitlement and technical documents such as land surveys, hydrology/hydraulics reports, environmental constraints, geotechnical limitations, and client requests.
Review project technical documents including geotechnical reports, environmental reports, ALTA and topo surveys, hydrology reports, etc. and document trouble areas for review by project stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of civil construction as-built drawings and project close out deliverables.
Conduct site visits to perform observations of ongoing construction of PV, Substation and BESS systems for general conformance with construction documents.
Construction Oversight - Monitor and verify that civil and mechanical subcontractors are executing work in full compliance with approved plans, specifications, and engineering standards.
Design Oversight - Provide technical review and feedback during execution to maintain design intent and identify potential constructability issues.

Understanding of grading design for drainage, earthwork, and system grading criteria.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Proficiency with CAD, Civil 3D, and survey data review.
Proficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
QGIS or ArcGIS Pro experience.
Experience with industry typical stormwater software such as HydroCAD or similar software.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
Detail-oriented, curious, resourceful, and proactive.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other similar discipline.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in utility-scale solar, BESS, substation, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
TRAVEL:

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Electrical Designer I is responsible for creating design models and other documents to show equipment and device layouts and branch circulation for power, lighting, and auxiliary drawings. This position receives direction from the BIM Manager for graphic standards and layout. This position requires continuous dotted-line supervision by a Designer III, an Engineer, the Engineer of Record, the Engineering Team Lead, or the Director of Engineering.
Fill in panel board schedules with branch circuit lighting and power plans under supervision.
Perform wire sizing, transformer feeders, and protection from published schedules.
Calculate lighting levels and layout fixtures at the direction of the Sr. Designer or Engineer for spaces of high finish, specific application, or aesthetic sensitivity.
Coordinate signal and low voltage subcontractors and designers with other trades, disciplines, and designs with supervision and assistance.
Back-check your work for accuracy and completeness before passing on to others.
Limited field work and surveying skills.
Perform additional assignments per the supervisor's direction and training plan.
Become familiar with manufacturer submittals for electrical characteristics.
