YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:
The Regional Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting and financial operations for an assigned region, typically supporting 6-10 divisions. This role partners closely with regional operations leadership and corporate finance to ensure accurate project accounting, financial analysis, compliance, and development of the regional accounting team. As a member of the regional leadership team, this position is expected to demonstrate strong communication, technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insight.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Oversee regional project accounting, including revenue and margin recognition in compliance with GAAP and ASC 606
Perform over/under billing analysis, cash forecasting, and working capital review
Prepare and analyze budget‑to‑actual results for projects and regional overhead
Review contract terms to identify financial risks, compliance requirements, and accounting impacts
Conduct ongoing project health and risk reviews and communicate findings to finance and operations leadership
Assist in developing project‑specific labor and office hourly rates
Train and support operations staff on Oracle and other finance‑related systems
Implement and continuously improve project accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and internal controls
Acknowledgment of any/all company confidentiality and Non‑Disclosure requirements, including protection of proprietary or company intellectual property
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Working knowledge of GAAP, with emphasis on construction accounting and revenue recognition
Broad understanding of general ledger, project, and operational accounting
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and financial reporting tools
Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with non‑financial stakeholders
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline‑driven environment
Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
Experience in construction, EPC, electrical contracting, or manufacturing environments preferred
Actively working toward CPA and/or CCIFP certification is encouraged
Prior experience supporting or leading accounting staff preferred
TRAVEL:
Up to 30% Travel will be dependent on the region's work locations.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
