YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:
Project Manager I is a mid-level role in our EPC division, this position is responsible for overseeing project scopes from planning through completion while ensuring client satisfaction. This role provides overall project management support for large renewable projects by supporting senior project management.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Broad general knowledge and management of all scopes required for renewable EPC construction: civil, fence, environmental, SWPPP, SPCC, mechanical, structural, substation, medium voltage collections, DC collections, BESS, SCADA, etc.
Plan and organize a project under the direction of a Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, or Division
Supervise and direct project activities, including planning, coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, and maintaining all company/project policies, procedures, standards, etc.
Manages and supports assigned Assistant Project Managers development and growth. Provides regular and direct feedback on performance and goal progress.
Responsible for preparing a complete estimate for selected project scopes with a detailed review of plans, specifications, and bid form.
Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and budget.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Assist the entire design process from inception to IFC's, including identifying VE options for all scopes, by coordinating with design partners and owner's specs and comments
Assist PM III and /or Sr. PM substation design, procurement and build based on SGIA requirements
Assist in procurement and establishment of Water, Sewer, Electrical Service, Security, Medical services (GEMS) and Internet for the project office compound.
Assist in Development of site compound, laydown yard and logistics plan for the project site, with the logistics superintendent
Review the geotechnical report and its impact on civil and structural designs
Support civil design and civil construction processes, and sequencing of civil activities such as, Grading, site balancing, trenching, pads, roadways, stormwater management
Support structural design, materials and construction sequencing (wind loads, snow loads, pile types, tracker systems, module types, concrete pads, design loads, etc)
Support electrical design, materials, and construction sequencing. HV, MV, LV, AC/DC power, voltage drops
Support SCADA, metering, utility requirements, ROC, and control buildings, NERC/FERC requirements and coordination
Support security fence materials and construction in compliance with local, state, and federal AHJ's (NERC/FERC)
Support O&M buildings design and construction. Plumbing/HVAC/foundation and Structure, etc
Set up Management system for closeout, testing, and commissioning processes; including CMT, capacity and availability tests, IR scan, hot and cold commissioning of inverters, harmonics studies, VLF, etc. Participate in the design process, ensuring coordination between the appropriate team members to gain feedback to help guide the design for constructability and apply best known methods.
Monitor project progress, performance, and financial metrics, identifying deviations from plans and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Manage Subcontractors and suppliers for your selected project scopes.
Support the preparation of project documentation, change orders, RFIs, submittals, progress reports, project schedules, budgets and resource allocations.
Prepare monthly costing reports under the supervision of a Senior PM or Division
Review weekly labor and job cost report with field team supervision, to ensure accurate reporting of hours and production units.
Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment,income/expenses)

Assist in managing project-related correspondence and communications with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
Contribute to safety initiatives and collaborate with the safety team on proper standards on project sites.

Collaborate with project teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Support project close-out activities, including documentation, commissioning, and quality management.
Participate in and help develop community outreach opportunities in the project area.
Develop and maintain project financial projections and equipment projections
Determine and allocate project estimates into the financial system
Determine cost codes, approve invoices, and make necessary budget management decisions
WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration or a related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience in project management or a related role, preferably within the EPC industry.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Office Suite).
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
TRAVEL:
Up to 100%
Travel to Remote site, away from Urban Centers, Commutes may be more than 1 hour in each direction without traffic
WORKING CONDITIONS:
General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
