YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

As the Controller, you will serve as a key financial leader responsible for the strategic direction, governance, and scaling of the company's accounting infrastructure. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will oversee key finance operational functions. This role focuses on driving institutional excellence, leading a tiered management structure, and serving as a strategic advisor to finance leadership to support our continuous enterprise growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • You'll lead, mentor, and structurally scale a high-performing corporate finance and accounting organization. You'll help establish departmental vision, institutionalize performance metrics (KPIs), and cultivate robust succession planning through ongoing feedback and development plans

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.

  • Serve as the ultimate authority to research, document, and implement guidance associated with complex technical accounting issues and regulatory standards.

  • Work on high-level strategic projects and serve as a trusted financial advisor to senior management.

  • Oversee the review and delivery of monthly and management financial reporting packages, collaborating with FP&A to ensure that regional and departmental discrepancies and forecast trends are thoroughly analyzed, explained, and documented.

  • Direct and provide oversight for tax compliance and annual audit.

  • Partner with cross-functional executive teams on a regular basis to identify corporate efficiencies and financial insights.

  • Lead finance optimization and innovation strategy to improve tools, systems, and processes as necessary.

  • Champion workforce management strategy, ensuring proper departmental utilization, resource allocation, and segregation of duties across core accounting subdepartments (including Payroll and Accounts Payables).

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a Business-related field

  • CPA preferred

  • 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years public accounting experience

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

  • A passion for detail and complexity; a knack for problem solving.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

  • Experience with larger ERP systems and financial reporting tools; Oracle preferred

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary

  • Effective leader with excellent oral and written communication

  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and a team player

TRAVEL:

  • Up to 50%

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

Pay Range

$222,400.00-$291,800.00 Annual

The pay range for this role is what we expect to pay for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Candidate's pay can vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and education.
