The General Foreman is responsible for Rosendin; managing the labor, materials and production for electrical construction projects. Provide technical expertise in installing and troubleshooting electrical wiring and equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for supervision of all field production activities; provide assistance to the Foreman in planning the job, ordering materials and manpower.
Work with appropriate Project Managers and Superintendents to establish project goals at the beginning of the project and monitor success in reaching those objectives on an ongoing basis.
Review and monitor labor efficiencies, hours and ratios. Project the labor needs for the duration of the project
Monitor codes and specifications, installation methods.
Prepare, review, distribute and/or maintain all required installation documentation.
Provide leadership and guidance to Foremen.
Work with the appropriate Project Managers and Superintendents to track and monitor material costs, storage, consumed and ordered to identify potential problems while minimizing cost and overruns to Rosendin
Achieve Rosendin productivity objectives by effectively managing and assigning tasks to crew members, while maintaining an accurate labor tracking log and communicating with other key project personnel
Utilize a proactive approach to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
Ensure the proper safety equipment, materials and tools are onsite to perform required work.
Maintain complete and accurate "as-builts" as per Rosendin procedures and project requirements.
Communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals including project owners, architects, general contractors, management, crew members, etc.
Adhere to project contract document changes and Rosendin change order notice-to-proceed policies.
Adhere to all Rosendin, state and federal safety policies and procedures.
Ensure all work performed meets with NEC, federal, state, county, local codes and contract documents.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
TX TDLR Journeyman or Master\'s License
A minimum of three to five years of experience working as an Electrical Foreman/General Foreman or in a similar role in electrical construction, design and cost management for commercial or industrial projects.
Advanced abilities in reading and interpreting electrical plans and specifications with in-depth knowledge of the NFPA codes.
Demonstrated track record of successful project leadership with experience managing sub-Foremen.
Capable of managing any type of private or public sector electrical construction project including new construction, tenant improvements, etc.
Solid understanding of the electrical codes and installation methods.
Well-versed in the installation of power systems: lighting, fire protection, security and data networks.
Knowledgeable regarding the build, installation and maintenance of control panels
Comfortable utilizing Electrical Single Line blueprints.
Experience in verifying the compliance and functionality of installations.
Knowledgeable in the identification and repair of faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.
Demonstrated ability to effectively order and track materials, perform cost projections and develop "as-builts".
Strong knowledge and experience related to scheduling, material lead times, product knowledge and installation durations.

The Area Superintendent is responsible for overseeing total project supervision effort to ensure appropriate personnel, budget and schedule are met.
Plan and supervise General Foreman and Foreman on craft activities, including determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.
Coordinate assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors.
Maintain liaison with engineering, estimating, and Project Management to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required.
Maintain communications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, requisitioning required manpower, etc., as necessary.
Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
Maintain liaison with other departments (i.e., Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, Engineering) to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule.
Lead in the implementation of all field training programs.
Closely monitor company QA/QC programs.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

The Senior Workforce Development Trainer supports employee growth by delivering training programs and workshops for both field and office staff. Topics typically include supervisory skills, work readiness, team collaboration, and communication. This role requires a strong understanding of business needs and subject matter expertise.
The Senior WFD Trainer monitors training effectiveness through performance outcomes and reports to a manager. This is a senior level employee development role that has an advanced understanding and can anticipate business needs. They direct new training program design and analyze session feedback to make recommendations for improvement to content and presentations. They have subject matter expertise in a particular subject, training program, or function of the company and are a trusted partner to the business. The Lead Workforce Development Trainer supports employee growth by delivering training programs and workshops for both field and office staff. Topics typically include supervisory skills, work readiness, team collaboration, and communication. This role requires a strong understanding of business needs and subject matter expertise. They may assume a team lead role for the work group.
The Lead WFD Trainer is a senior level employee development role that has an advanced understanding and can anticipate business needs. They direct new training program design and analyze session feedback to make recommendations for improvement to content and presentations. They have subject matter expertise in a particular subject, training program, or function of the company and are a trusted partner to the business. They have an increased exposure to senior leadership in the business unit and mentor Senior WFD Trainers.
The Workforce Development program focuses on field employee success and is structured around four key areas: Recruitment, Onboarding, Skills Training, and Leadership Development, with intentional overlap to support office-based teams.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Recruitment
Organizes and attends local job and career fairs.
Coordinates recruitment efforts with Marketing and Business Development teams.
Processes field applications submitted via rosendin.com/electricians
Interviews and assesses field applicants, providing next steps (e.g., referral to local union halls).
Aligns hiring needs with local union representatives.
Explores and engages with local and national recruitment programs.
Onboarding
Designs onboarding program content and duration based on local needs assessments.
Coordinates onboarding materials with Corporate Learning & Development and Safety departments.
Facilitates onboarding sessions focused on culture, safety, and skills.
Administers written and hands-on skills assessments.
Manages DocuSign paperwork for new hires.
Skills Training
Delivers hands-on training modules for various classifications (e.g., conduit bending, MC cable installation, terminations).
Facilitates basic skills training for new industry entrants, focusing on safe and proper tool/material use.
Leads bootcamp-style sessions for sub-journeyman level employees.
Leadership Development
Coordinates and/or facilitates:
Foreman Development Series
Field supervision training
App-based and software-based training
Customizes training content to meet local needs.
Promotes the Rosendin Field Operations Manual and internal processes.
Coordinates with external consultants or vendors for specialized training.
General Workforce Development Support
Promote Rosendin culture, core values, mission statement, and vision
Pursue & coordinate grant & training reimbursement opportunities
Pursue & coordinate continued education credits (for class participants) as available per location
Track & report training metrics as identified by corporate training or regional leadership
Capture participant feedback on all trainings via survey
Communicate upcoming schedule & direction with corporate Learning & Development Team
Participate in personal continued education & development as identified by regional management & corporate Learning & Development management
Develop new training content as needed
Participate in peer reviews of newly developed or extensively modified content
Participate in scheduled Workforce Development meetings
Assign (recommend) LinkedIn Learning paths & content to field employees
Counsel & coach struggling field employees
Connect field & office teams through joint training opportunities
May manage additional local training resources
Promote a positive community presence
Proven work experience in a training or similar role is preferred.
Understanding of electrical construction and contracting.
Ability to speak comfortably in front of a classroom audience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to analyze business and training needs for improvement.
Experience in developing and implementing training programs is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Generally, requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
Requires 6+ years of related experience.
Union experience is preferred.
Instructional Design certification is preferred.
Presentation skills are preferred.

General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
