YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

Events Specialist is an intermediate level professional role that has developed understanding of the business needs as well as specific experience in the planning, logistics, budget management, vendor/speaker management as well as on-site meeting oversight/execution of large events. Although this is a hands-on role that is actively involved in the events, it requires strong project management skills for the planning and execution of multiple timelines with the coordination of multiple parties. It requires common sense, tenacity and the organizational skills required for keep participants/vendors/leaders on task as well as the decision making / risk assessment in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Main point of contact for weekly Rosendin orientation training

  • Manage all aspects of events planning and logistics which may include venue sourcing, collection of services, coordination of participants, speakers, etc.

  • Budgetary management

  • On-site execution/coordination of participants and presenters

  • Effectively and competently resolve issues that arise

  • Collects feedback on sessions from attendees to use for future content improvements and presentations

  • Responsible for classroom preparation and scheduling for classes

  • Assists in the design and development of training materials for various audiences including employees, managers, customers, or other learners

  • Works on projects and/or matters of moderate complexity in a support role

  • Gains exposure to certain complex tasks within the job function

  • Although work is managed, an Events Specialist works with some autonomy

  • Occasionally directed in some aspects of the work

  • Participate in extra-curricular activities that are related to L&D programs

  • Available for all on site activities, programs, etc. related to training programs

  • Other duties as required

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Proven experience in event planning

  • Availability to work on-site at events including some evening events, as required

  • Ability to multitask multiple competing interests and prioritize accordingly

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information

  • Ability to deescalate conflicts within the workplace

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Flexibility to adapt to delays and changes to the program delivery schedule

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

  • Generally, requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience in hospitality, marketing, or public relations

  • Requires 2-4 years of related experience

TRAVEL:

  • Up to 25%

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning

  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Pay Range

$79,600.00-$104,500.00 Annual

The pay range for this role is what we expect to pay for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Candidate's pay can vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and education.
