YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Senior HRIS Analyst owns Workday data integrity, reporting, and release validation as an end-to-end area of responsibility - determining how issues get resolved and how the work gets done, rather than executing under close direction. This role sets the day-to-day standard for data accuracy and system reliability across Rosendin's HR technology systems, with Workday as the primary platform, and is trusted to design and implement solutions to data and configuration problems independently rather than escalate them or rely on consultants by default. The Senior HRIS Analyst partners directly with managers across HR Operations and adjacent functions, representing the HRIS function in cross-functional working sessions rather than responding to requests from the sidelines. This role reports to the HRIS Manager, is one of two Senior HRIS Analysts on the team, and partners regularly with the Process Optimization Program Manager, HR Technology, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, and IT.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Data Integrity & System Administration

  • Own data integrity for Workday end-to-end, independently diagnosing and resolving complex data and configuration issues as well as recommending mitigation solutions rather than escalating routine problems.
  • Process mass data changes and business process configuration, setting the approach for how recurring issues get fixed as well recommending solutions for complex issues rather than following a predefined playbook.
  • Own user access and security role administration, including periodic regular audits, and recommend adjustments to standards and process as the platform evolves.
  • Provide data and administrative support across other HR technology systems as needed (e.g., ATS, LMS), determining the right approach in partnership with the HRIS Manager rather than working solely under direction.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Independently design, build, and maintain the core Workday reporting suite, partnering directly with HR and business managers to define requirements rather than simply fulfilling requests.
  • Own recurring workforce reporting and compliance-related data submissions, incorporating compliance considerations into report design from the outset, as well as proactively updating and evolving reporting and data compliance requirements.
  • Apply calculated fields, advanced report-writing tools, and Excel-based analysis to solve complex reporting problems that don't have an established template.

Testing & Release Management

  • Own the execution and validation of Workday release testing end-to-end, determining test strategy and coordinating across stakeholders rather than executing scripts under direction.
  • Create comprehensive UAT Project Plan that outlines and includes: scope & success criteria; test plan & test scripts, stakeholders & testers, timeline with milestones for all test groups, and cutover plan w/ hypercare scope/time.
  • Document test results and defects, and independently triage and resolve complex configuration issues identified during testing cycles, escalating only what genuinely requires the HRIS Manager's involvement.

User Support, Documentation & Process Improvement

  • Serve as the senior front-line resource for Workday questions and issues, resolving the majority of requests independently through direct WD configurations and escalating only genuinely novel problems.
  • Own the documentation library - job aids, process documentation, and standard operating procedures - for consistent system use across HR Operations.
  • Identify and configure independently complex process and system improvement opportunities from day-to-day system use and data trends, and bring fully-formed recommendations to the HRIS Manager rather than raw observations.
  • Represent the HRIS function in cross-functional working sessions with managers across HR Operations and adjacent functions on system and data questions.
  • Coordinate day-to-day with the other Senior HRIS Analyst to divide ownership across functional areas and cover for one another during peak periods or absences.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Strong working knowledge of Workday data structures, security architecture, and business process configuration.
  • Demonstrated experience independently creating and implementing complex Workday configuration solutions to day-to-day system process and usage, data and reporting, and security administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve data and configuration problems independently, without a predefined solution to follow.
  • Strong information and data analytical skills, comfortable building reporting solutions to problems that don't have an established template.
  • Well-developed communication skills, able to represent HRIS work credibly in front of managers and cross-functional partners.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple technical priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Workday and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in HRIS or HR technology, with demonstrated ownership of data integrity, reporting, or release testing work.
  • Strong demonstrated hands-on experience and knowledge in Workday HCM
  • Proficient hands-on experience and knowledge of at least 1 Workday Modules (Performance, Advanced Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, etc.)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Workday Education and Workday Learning Center for at least 1 Workday Modules (Performance, Advanced Compensation, Talent Acquisition, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience using Workday Community to research options/solutions/answers and providing recommendations to HRIS Manager based on WD business requests.
  • A track record of solving data and configuration problems independently rather than working solely from defined instructions.
  • Experience partnering directly with managers or cross-functional stakeholders on system and data matters.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
